Before the court ruling MPs could not agree on a secret ballot for the parliament speaker proposed by LVV for their candidate acting justice minister Albulena Haxhiu- not supported by PDK, LDK, AAK.
After the court ruling, they continue to not agree although clock is ticking.

One of the main concerns is that the one thing an outgoing government can do- submit the budget to parliament for approval, cannot be used currently as there is no functioning parliament to adopt it. If the deadlock drags on, it may endanger adoption of the budget for 2026.

Kosovo Parliament has to meet every 48 hours until its inauguration- meaning another session on Sunday.

More than 2 months since parliamentary elections and Kosovo does not have an inagurated Parliament- blocked for 6th time today- thus, no new government formation.

However, on Jan 31, 2025 Kosovo govt allocated 500,000€ "for Palestinian people in Gaza". This happened after a provisional ceasefire which Israel has since breached.

Israel's recognition of Kosovo in 2020 led to Kosovo government officials only condemning the October 7 attack and being mostly silent about Israel's bombing of Gaza and other atrocities in Palestine's West Bank.
