In my experience, there is no early warning red flag more consistent than seeing "RT ≠ endorsement" in someone's bio...

I'm still surprised when I see indie devs/designers find a way to fault creators for pursuing the widest market with the best algorithmic return on their efforts, and then also somehow consider it an evil when they don't immediately sacrifice that advantage without some other form of compensation.
The reality is, if money is not on the table (and its understandable to assume its not when working at indie scale), there need to be better ways to non-materially support one another. A PDF and a Bluesky post is not sustainable.
We need to approach one another as Peers, not Business Opportunities.

From the opposite side: We've never charged to feature a game on Party of One, and even so, I think of the 100s of emails I've gotten of "We're launching our game in four days, can you produce an ep for us that drops next week, in exchange for one (1) Bsky quote-post that only talks about ourselves"
