The thing about the first Mad Max, and something like I Saw The Devil is how they handle “heroic revenge“ tropes. at the end of the movie they’re not in a better place, they had to call themselves up to just being empty again. Fucking bleak. Something organic about that ugliness.

Google search was already getting shitty with their increasing monetization of everything, but now that they put their AI bullshit at the top of the page, followed by the sponsored links and links to Quora and Reddit, it’s become almost completely worthless.
For a brief shining moment we lived in glowing world of shared information open information where facts about anything was a query that took five to ten seconds, like a quick walk in the park. Now to gain useful information from authoritative trusted sources takes planning and a half day expedition.
