Hurray! I've tried it on, and it fits, but it needs blocking. Now, on to the sleeves. #knitting #knitsky

Lite Bright sweater progress. Eight rounds to go in the bright green, before I start fading in the dark green, which is the final colour. #knitsky

My current WIP is the Extra Lite Bright sweater from Wool And Pine. I'm loving the yarn transitions so far. This is 4 shades of 4ply sock yarn. I have two more to go. #Knitsky #Knitting

#showmeyourknits this week is all things grey. I don't often knit with grey yarn, but here's a couple of sweaters I've knit in the past. #knitsky #knitting

Oooh, stash dive! Stash dive! The Nouveau Cardigan by Lucy Hague was published as part of Glasgow University Knits in 2022, but is now available as an individual pattern. It is 4ply, but I'm willing to try and make a DK version. #Knitsky #Knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

🐑🐑🐑This has gone straight into my queue. The Sheep Sweater by Rosa Pomar. Bottom up and steeked. Fingering weight yarn. Sizes up to 61 inches. #Knitsky #Knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Another one of my stash busting projects is the Sprig Slipover by Sarah Opie. It only has 18 projects on Ravelry and I don't know why. It looks amazing and it's only garter slip stitch. This is a perfect project for an ambitious beginner. #Knitsky www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

#showmeyourknits is WIPs this week. I'm currently stash busting some of my 4ply yarns. This is going to be a cardigan in plain grey. I've added colour to the sleeves, with some self striping sock yarn.

I know how much my fellow knitters love a bit of true crime to go with their knitting, so if you're looking for a good listen this weekend, I recommend Scotland Yard: A Bloody History by Simon Read. Harry Myers, the narrator, is brilliant! #Knitsky #booksky www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...

Incredibly, I managed to lose my old sock blockers (again). So, I bought some new ones. 😊 ##knitsky #knitting

This pattern is from way back in 2019, but I've never seen it before. Pirate Danger ☠️ socks by Jeannie Cartmel features tiny skull and crossbones motifs. Sock is knit toe up with a gusset and heel flap. I will be stash diving my box of socks yarns later. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... #Knitsky

I decided to cast on the Book Club sweater from Sari Nordland today. I tried a couple of different yarns from my stash, and this one looked the best. It's King Cole Fashion Aran in Forest. The sweater is knit top down from the back neck. ##knitsky #knitting

The Non Cooperation Brick is a free pattern by Hannah Roderick, available from Ravelry. Knit in fingering weight yarn to the dimensions of a real world brick, this is for throwing at stuff when the current timeline becomes too much. #Knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

The latest episode of #uncanny is creepy AF, but I have to admit I was a little distracted by @dannyrobins.bsky.social gorgeous knitted jumper in the opening. 😂 Not even the scariest ghost story can come between a knitter and a lovely jumper.

In February 2019 an Icelandic man disappeared without a trace in Dublin, Ireland. RÚV, the Icelandic national broadcasting agency, and RTE are doing a podcast (in English!) on the mystery and it's so so good: www.ruv.is/utvarp/spila...

#showmeyourknits Stripes!

I don't knit a lot of stripes except on hats, but this cardi was an interesting exception. Knitted side-to-side without a pattern, it required some intensive problem-solving. Also it has vertical afterthought side pockets, which I LOVE.
