I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?

A woman came up to me today asking for a new pair of joggers cause the size label was torn. The joggers themselves were in pristine condition. However, the size label on the inside was hanging loose so she wanted a new pair. Make that make sense please.

Per last rt, this is why I don't love when people only read books from marginalized groups during certain months or challenges. As others have said, the eating your veggies style reading of non-allocishet white authors feels like a cover for really not giving a shit but wanting to be seen as "good."
