Life of Chuck

I missed the sneak preview of this a few weeks ago but as soon as I saw it was coming to the Hyland Cinema on its opening day I picked up a ticket (and renewed my membership!)

10,000+ charge cycles, comparable energy density to Lithium and fully functional in temperature ranges of -40C to +70C.

Safer technology and expected to be substantially cheaper to produce due to abundant raw materials. This will change everything.

Just thinking about any data centers in Minnesota, Michigan and New York, especially those doing power hungry workloads in AI trying to migrate over to datacenters with cheaper power.

Been thinking hard the last little while about why I never vote Conservative provincially or federally despite sometimes knowing people who are running. I think the common thread I've seen that I can never let go of is how they constantly take things paid for by the public and sell them off.

I was not intending for this recent Flashflood supply of OJ to be a replacement for repercussions from the US trade war but rather an addition to the camping staples for future adventures, but the timing sure is eerie

The new Captain America comes out soon in which Harrison Ford plays the US President who just so happens to turn into a red version of The Hulk. At least in the comics his rage doesn't make him stronger, but instead causes him to radiate heat.

At a time when we need our premier's eye to be on the ball he instead thinks it's the time for the distraction of an election. To use the premise that "he needs the mandate of the vote" now, when it's never mattered to him before is pretty ridiculous
Ontario doesn't need another election right now. We need stability, strong leadership & a govt that works together across party lines in the best interest of all citizens. Doug Ford confirms early Ontario election will be called next Wednesday #onpoli #ONElxn2025 www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/arti...

A gritty, spiraling self-exposure of obviously talented Robbie Williams. It shared some emotional notes from Bohemian Rhapsody while being brave enough to swing for the fences artistically like the recent Pharrell Piece by Piece film.

It's such a shame it wasn't well received at the box office.

A man in Prince Edward Island got doubly lucky last July, recording a meteorite's impact on his home security cameras. The space rock also landed in the exact spot he'd been standing minutes earlier.

Been put in my place by a migraine since last night, so I wasn't sure I'd continue the Taco train this week (or even remember it was Tuesday for that matter) but pulled it together with a simple baked fish base. I'll probably be grateful I ate something later

Mummers is a Newfoundland Christmas tradition akin to (my take) a cross between carolling & trick or treating. My friends had this lovely little Mummers statue who was experiencing some technical difficulties so I offered to patch the fellow up so they could enjoy a bright holiday season
