Congress decides what is in the US National Interest when it creates governmental agencies and passes budgets to fun the work of the agencies. The President can only approve or veto those legislative moves. He does not have the power to shutter agencies or do mass firings at agencies.

Spent the afternoon removing the hardware and sanding down my new secretary cabinet. I'm planning on painting it black, adding black and gold bamboo pulls, and attempting some chinoiserie painting on it. We'll see how this goes.
