I was 13, and I had a friend spending the night--my mother told me she thought we were wrestling, that it sounded like someone dropped a bowling ball on the floor. We lived 130 miles north of the mountain. For months you couldn't go into a shop without finding some trinket made of St. Helens ash.

He's losing court cases. He's losing his trade war. His cabinet is a disaster. Voters are turning out against his people and ideals. He's unpopular. He looks weaker everyday.

Cory Booker is every movie character who, at the end, is pleading with people to not get on the spaceship/identify the pod people/stay out of the water even though it's July 4th. It's up to the rest of us to decide if we want to be fodder, or the victors who make good (even great) trouble.
