I once had a teacher colleague who sent out a newsletter with a helpful recipe for "honey-buttermilk fried children." Luckily all the kids showed up the following Monday unscathed.

OMG--This reminds me of my teaching days, when I would work with the most challenging (often bullying) student in the class by having them be in charge of something super important. It's amazing how much of a shift can happen. But then, I'm talking about actual human children here.

By chance, were any of them named Bubba?

Guess what? Megyn Kelly is saying exactly what abusers tell themselves. Guess what also? They're all disgusting scum.

Gross. Also, can we just be done with the stupid "Charlie's Angels" finger-bang-gun thing, once and for all?

There are words I never utter, and try really hard not to even think, that roar to life in my head whenever she opens her mouth.

I taught elementary school for 30 years and there were times I had students turn every writing prompt into something about Minecraft, Yu-gi-oh or Pikachu. A child hears the news of Pearl Harbor on the radio? Oh look--there's Charmander! Meh. I was glad they used paragraphs and quotation marks.

Lyrics seem so relevant today: “All the bridges are burning that we might have crossed / But I feel so close to everything that we lost / We'll never have to lose it again.”

It was always the story of Solomon, with the repubs perfectly willing to cut the baby in half, no matter what. There was never any intent to give in. Not saying the Dems shouldn’t have held out longer, but when the other side doesn’t give a shit, I don’t know what the right answer is.

It was always a “Solomon” situation, with the repubs (Tr*mp) more than willing to cut the baby in half rather than give in. I’m not surprised the dems blinked. Though I’m not saying they should have, It was only ever a matter of time.

Nothing more awful than a torn dew--by the time you take care of it, it's like a friggin crime scene.

You never know when your dog might suddenly need their nails clipped, so it's good to carry these with you:

I could go home for all that and at least I’d get a tuna casserole out if it.

For the (supposed) richest country in the world, it’s inhuman.

Absolutely--I barely can. I'm just saying that if we're expected to pay (whatever amount) into healthcare, it'd be better if the end result was that it funded healthcare for all.
