I can only conclude that the people who did all this, aka the sellers we bought it from, do not cook. Next time we have to move, i'm giving Andy the right to veto any place with a subpar kitchen. The kitchen/dining room in our co-op was smaller than this and still somehow better arranged.

We know what the kitchen looked like previously because i found an old listing online. And no, neither Andy nor i like the dated turquoise aspect of that old kitchen, but JUST PAINT IT and maybe reface the cabinets.

They also took a perfectly reasonable L-shaped kitchen with a decent nook for a dining table and turned it into a quasi-galley-style kitchen with a tiny corner where you could barely, maybe fit a table for 2. (Also fucking up the plumbing, which the inspector made us deal with for no reason.)
