Thank you for putting up with my antique camera thread. For fun, here are 2 more of Gma Kelly's. My Gma also had a disc camera. Quintessential grandma camera? I had a Polaroid, but mine needed flashcubes.

And while i'm at it, a Ricoh Singlex. My Gma bought this for me when i was in journalism school (early 1990s), but i don't know much about it.

Don't know anything about this one. It just has Foth stamped in the leather.

Kodak Brownie Six-20. I love the art deco vibes on this one.

A Kodak Duaflex II.

Let's start with this one! A Kodak Hawkeye. My first camera, although i don't know anytjing about it except that it makes a satisfying clicky sound when the shutter closes.

If folks could share this, i'd appreciate it! We inherited a small collection of photo and video cameras from spouse's family, and i'd love to know more about them — the top shelf in particular. (Bottom shelf are our current-ish cameras, so we know them.) I'll slowly add close-ups....

I really enjoyed this newsletter from Charlie Jane about dark academia for a lot of reasons, but especially because one of the first images in the newsletter is this. Very dark. Very academia.

That's not even a ratio, that's just being nuked from orbit.

I just used mine this week and thought about your question. I have a Bostitch saddle stapler (acquired second hand almost 20 years ago, for a sense of age). It definitely makes a Ca-CHUNK sound, but i feel like it's kind of muted? To me it sounds like it's muffled by a heavy layer of blankets.

For everyone who downloaded Neko Atsume 2 yesterday -- make sure you get today's update with seasonal goodies. You too can have a jack o'lantern that eats cats!

The emo bear cracked. me. up. Tho', alas, i've been forbidden from using the kissing gif with my spouse.

Just realized i can now use all my Glitch gifs.

I'm not even a big .gifs person. I think at least 90% of them are crap, whether having movement that's way too fast, looping in a really bad way, or having shitty video quality. Most can probably be replaced with a simple static graphic with text on it.

But sometimes you just need the right one.
