At the State Board of Education meeting today, several speakers shared emotional testimony that Mt Edgecumbe HS is in a mental health and safety crisis.

They say due to staff + budget cuts, there's a gap in mental health care, cultural activities, and a degrading quality of life. 1/

Among other things, going with an education system entirely of charter schools would make it extremely difficult to fulfill special education rights of students with disabilities. Decent chance ASD schools would be asked to fulfill services, as well.

Fred Meyers west didn't have a turkey bigger than 14 lbs.

Safeway west is out, but will be restocked on Tuesday. There were about a dozen various butterballs and signature select. Bigger birds than Fred's at 3PM today.
