Just saw a bumper sticker reading “if you are mean to animals, you are going to hell” and I salute the complete lack of any attempt to be witty or cute.

Launching a campaign to make sure the phrase "Kavanaugh Stop" makes it into his obit.
Brett Kavanaugh (September 2025): The facts and how they relate to the law don’t matter. Assume ICE and other federal forces always act with integrity, always respect rights, and consistently impose minimal burden.

Brett Kavanaugh (December 2025): Should I not have done that? Was that wrong?
Kavanaugh in a footnote in today's opinion says "the officers must not make interior immigration stops or arrests based on race or ethnicity."

If, ten years ago, you made a satirical film about an insane president and included this, you’d be criticized for pushing satire beyond its limits.
President Donald Trump has added partisan and subjective plaques to a refashioned West Wing walkway he calls the Presidential Walk of Fame. The plaques include bombastic language, from “Sleepy Joe” Biden references to painting Republican icon Ronald Reagan as a fan of a young Trump.

As usual, the Democrats have been totally played.
Tucked inside the Republican bill for health care subsidies, a clause that would restrict the money from being used for abortion (with exception for rape, incest or life of the mother) or for "any sex trait modification procedure or service."

Oh Texas. It’s hard to think of something as un-American as forcing schools to have chapters of a partisan political group of any kind (never mind one that was led by a white supremacist) but… Texas. I can tell you many things I loved about living in Houston. But the state is a shithole.
Happening now: Texas leaders announcing a rollout of a statewide program to put TPUSA chapters in high schools and colleges across the state. Gov. Abbott adds that schools that stand in the way should be reported to the Texas Education Agency.

We all know Trump's "award" was FIFA sucking up to him because it's a horrifically corrupt organization, but what's with the statue? It looks like demons trying to drag the earth into hell.

This is so disgusting. These are people who have followed all the rules and processes and spent time and money just to be part of the US (just as my parents did), and the US takes a big dump on them at the last moment simply because of where they were born.

We (the larger American "we") don't pay enough attention to this: working SNAP recipients are employed by some big, profitable companies. They pay people so poorly they can't eat, and programs like SNAP is essentially a corporate subsidy. The "welfare queens" are in the boardrooms.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."
