Sometimes we forget how rich our everyday lives truly are. We see the chaos, the tiredness, the little worries, but rarely do we recognize the light shining beneath. Every bit of disorder tells of life, every challenge of growth, every early morning of a new beginning.

Ginkgo is a long-lived tree known as a "living fossil" for its ancient lineage.

It is prized as an ornamental and street tree due to its resilience to pollution and its beautiful fan-shaped leaves that turn golden in the fall. 💛#Nature #Beauty #FridayVibes #FridayFeeling

New Heroes portrait of Dr Alia Crum for the @nationalacademies.org

She studies how beliefs shape stress, healing and even the way we feel hunger.

A scientist who keeps showing that the stories we tell ourselves matter more than we think. More: explorers.com/alia-crum/

If I fell in love tomorrow and the person proved they would be a good partner and parent and it was what we both wanted, it could happen, but it would be hard. I think it is much healthier for me to let go of that idea, fill my life w/ other joys, and fall in love w/ someone who loves me for me.
