This Sunday June 8th work day 10-3pm we’ll mainly be working on our new gathering area- clearing & hanging sun shades. We’ll have snacks, lunch, & beverages for volunteers. And time for hiking/exploring/hanging out! Let us know by Friday the 6th if you can make it 😃

Our @natalieannevans.bsky.social will be hosting a day of foraging at Wonderland Sunday May 25th. She'll be teaching, guiding walks/games for gathering, & showing how to prepare some delicious wild foods. There will be plenty to eat & you'll be making some syrups & shrubs to take home! DM to RSVP

May's work day we'll continue to clear land for upcoming native tree and shrub planting, labeling/protecting recently planted trees, working on a watering system, & more work on our new gathering area. Always time for hanging out, relaxing, & a hike too. Going to be a beautiful day! RSVP by the 9th

April’s work day is 11am-3pm on the 13th- we’ll be widening trails, preparing for more tree planting, finishing our 1st BDA (maybe starting a 2nd!), clearing for shaded gathering spot & around swimming hole!

We’ll have food & beverages to share! Message us by the 11th if you’d like to come help 😊

🦫🪵Got our waders on for our last work day to start building a beaver dam analog using buckthorn, honeysuckle, cattails! This will be the 1st of several needed to stop a pond leak & begin to replenish our fen + aquifer. Fingers crossed that the beavers will want to collaborate w us!!

The focus of our March 2nd Grief Retreat stemmed from a poem by @atenaoyadi.bsky.social called Mending. Around a fire we wove w dogwood & on looms, mended clothes, had foods/teas made w care, and reflected on rest & community care. It was such a thoughtful lovely day!

Our March work day is on Sunday 9th - 11am to 3pm

We will be clearing invasives for 4 different projects! The fen, spring planting areas, future swimming hole and a new sunshade.

Food and beverages provided!

Join our Grief Retreat on March 2nd, 11-3pm.

We will focus on weaving and mending. The simple act of patching up a hole in a sock or weaving a circle out of saplings can be extremely soothing for a hurting heart.

Cool tactic from the campaign to stop a new $500 million federal prison from being built in Eastern KY –– a coalition recently purchased a huge chunk of land where the prison is supposed to be built, and plans to reintroduce native species to the area.
