Join us Sat Nov 1 for our fall grief retreat. We’ll build community altar w photos, items of remembrance, candles, & share our memories, stories, and grief over the passing of our loved ones around the fire.

Our next grief retreat will be Sat Sept 6, 10am-3pm, w a focus on exploring grief in our bodies w end of life doula @natalieannevans.bsky.social who will open w talk on body grief & lead some gentle exercises

Our next grief retreat is Sunday June 22 10a-3p, this time thru art. We’ll have writing & art prompts, & a still life to sketch/paint. Can also wander trails for inspiration & art making. Time to share thoughts in the aspens.Lunch & art supplies provided. Msg for ?s/details & to RSVP by the 20th

Our @natalieannevans.bsky.social will be hosting a day of foraging at Wonderland Sunday May 25th. She'll be teaching, guiding walks/games for gathering, & showing how to prepare some delicious wild foods. There will be plenty to eat & you'll be making some syrups & shrubs to take home! DM to RSVP

May's work day we'll continue to clear land for upcoming native tree and shrub planting, labeling/protecting recently planted trees, working on a watering system, & more work on our new gathering area. Always time for hanging out, relaxing, & a hike too. Going to be a beautiful day! RSVP by the 9th

🦫🪵Got our waders on for our last work day to start building a beaver dam analog using buckthorn, honeysuckle, cattails! This will be the 1st of several needed to stop a pond leak & begin to replenish our fen + aquifer. Fingers crossed that the beavers will want to collaborate w us!!

They are using a rakes to move the mud together with the chopped up pieces of buckthorn, honeysuckle, & cattails. Here are the materials being used for the Beaver Dam Analog- chopped up honeysuckle, buckthorn, cattails. They are arranged in the water as some of the base for the bda. 2 people working on building a Beaver Dam Analog. One has a machete and is cutting cattails, the other is holding a rake and looking at the ground where there is water and part of the bda.

The focus of our March 2nd Grief Retreat stemmed from a poem by @atenaoyadi.bsky.social called Mending. Around a fire we wove w dogwood & on looms, mended clothes, had foods/teas made w care, and reflected on rest & community care. It was such a thoughtful lovely day!

Our March work day is on Sunday 9th - 11am to 3pm

We will be clearing invasives for 4 different projects! The fen, spring planting areas, future swimming hole and a new sunshade.

Food and beverages provided!

Join our Grief Retreat on March 2nd, 11-3pm.

We will focus on weaving and mending. The simple act of patching up a hole in a sock or weaving a circle out of saplings can be extremely soothing for a hurting heart.

Lunch provided. Please RSVP by February 28th.
