Kinda fascinating that a month and a half after giving away a quarter of her wealth + calling out billionaires there are now articles saying she’s hit a career low. Not at all connected, I’m sure.

Happy birthday to ME 🥳🥰

Grateful for another trip around the sun. I will never let anyone convince me that growing older is anything but miraculous.

Here’s to 38, and the new grays and wrinkles that come with it. Because I’ve earned this passage of time 🩶

Please tell me you get this reference.

And extra pretty please don’t ever, ever join an MLM. Or even support them. If you want to help out a friend, just give her cash.

It is completely normal to have a Christmas tree that looks like total nonsense because your lights don’t match, you’re not great at stringing them evenly, and your ornaments are a not-aesthetic mix of completely random sizes and types.

Three things to do today ✔️

Money, mobility, sunscreen.

Spoiler: none of my holiday “must haves” can be purchased at big box stores. Really, they can barely be purchased at all. Which is exactly the point.

What do your holiday “must haves” look like? What really makes the season sparkle. Odds are, you can’t buy much of them, either.

I’ve already worn it three times this week, so the cost per wear is down to $17 and dropped.

And I’ve gotten ten compliments already. Take that, sad mean person on FB.

Evergreen money advice, honestly.

It doesn’t matter how weird a current week or month or year is. The basics more or less stay the same, as long as we exist in a capitalist society.

I just got the most UNHINGED scam letter telling me I have $10M in inheritance coming and the lawyer is going to tell gratuitously split the amount with me. As a finders fee? Idk? 😂

We are not about money shame around here.

But if we're going to get better about how we intentionally spend our dollars, we have to face our choices head on.

I know I talk a whole lot about what I *don’t* spend money on, so I figured Small Business Saturday was a good day to talk about the things I do spend my money on that I never regret later.

I mean, I guess anyone who showed up at Target for these swag bags got the nostalgic experience of being on Punked

Hey remember when Jeff Bezos had that awful over the top wedding where a ridiculous number of people flew in via private jet and they had to move the ceremony out of the center of Venice?

Just something I was thinking about today. And how I sure don’t think that man needs any more of our money.

Shoutout to everyone doing some cleaning this week wondering how the heck you ended up with all of this stuff 🫣🫠

“Device hoarding.”

Like what.

Keeping one device for longer than a year is no definition of hoarding 😩😩😩

If we’re not shopping on Black Friday, what *are* we doing instead?

Here are some zero-cost ideas to get you started thinking a bit more creatively about how to spend a day traditionally associated with overconsuming in all ways.

In another edition of, no one needs that:

Warhead scented dog poop bags.

When we talk about how we're marketed to buy stuff we ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED…

I know the term is “conspicuous consumption,” but…..

This sort of thing is why we don’t say that we don’t have to agree with how other people spend their money that they’ve earned. Because our earth is burning, people are starving, and THIS sort of thing is being sold for absolutely no good reason.

Use the free, communal resources in your community, don’t be a walking germ factory, and take care of your body. And don’t forget the sunscreen.

Do you ever think about how, even with no fault divorce, how many more women would leave their husbands if they didn’t have to worry about the money part.
