Ensuring every baby arrives safely is at the heart of maternity care, but recognising and responding to babies struggling during labour is complex. Our survey of maternity professionals shows how standardisation could help improve safety. THIS summary: ths.im/4igBLcS Full paper: ths.im/4bLJAVC

Thanks @bmj.com for asking me for a quote for this & to @katewomersley.com to signposting me to them. I hope this report leads to reduced waiting times for investigation & treatment as well as the amplification of women’s voices throughout healthcare & research (as I argue for in #Unheard)
From this week’s @bmj.com, we learn that:

“Drs are too often dismissive of women’s symptoms when they present for treatment for reproductive health conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, and heavy menstrual bleeding”

Shoutout to @drrageshri.bsky.social.
