If you have a chronically ill person in your life - respect their autonomy over their body. Believe them when they say the hospital can’t help.

Have compassion for the fact that they live in a state of constant pain, fatigue & suffering that you can’t possibly understand /17

disabled people don't make enough money. I think we know this. What we may not know is how much stress, worry and fear - real fear - this puts on a disabled person. The emotional tolls of disability poverty go unspoken, and that is a big problem. We need to talk about it all the time.

On a bike, you’re not hidden behind metal and glass, you’re a part of the world around you. This visibility fosters human connection, whether through a nod, a glance, or just being seen. It’s a reminder of shared spaces and shared humanity.

‘Why ride a bike in freezing snow to get groceries when you could drive?’

Because in a chaotic world, I crave moments of peace. Riding at night through a snowy, tranquil trail wasn’t just practical, it was grounding. I reconnected with nature, escaped the noise, and felt alive. That’s worth it.

I want to live somewhere that being on a cargo bike is unremarkable to people due to its normalcy.

Forcing people to depend on 1 mode of #transportation for all their needs ISN'T #freedom!

True freedom of transportation means giving people real choices between different modes of travel.

From #bikes, to #transit, to #walking, or even #driving, people should be able to move about easily & freely!

It only takes one poorly designed road or street to strip people of their freedom to choose how they move, forcing them back into a car just to feel safe.

It's so disingenuous when the able-bodied use disability to defend car culture. My bicycle is a mobility aid; I would use it to go everywhere if things weren't built so far apart where I live.
