He was deported to #Auschwitz on 14 June 1940 from Tarnów in the first transport of Poles to the camp.

08.03.1944|French prisoner Marcel Giraudet perished at #Majdanek. He was born on 15.06.1924 in Recloses. During #WWII Marcel was a resistance liaison and underground press distributor. He went through Compiègne, Buchenwald, Dora and ended up at Majdanek in February 1944.

09.03.1942|Liquidation Aktion in Mielec: Germans gathered all Jews in the market square and divided them into three groups. 450 elderly & sick were taken to Borek and shot, 750 selected for labour were taken to the camp in Pustków, the remaining ones were deemed for deportation.

3 March 1943 | A transport from Berlin with 1,758 German & 158 Norwegian Jews arrived at #Auschwitz. After the selection, 585 men & 309 women were registered in the camp.

The remaining 1,022 people were murdered in gas chambers.

4 March 1910 | German Jew Wilhelm Rothschild was born in Frankfurt. Despite being a former French Foreign Legionary, he was deported from Maubourguet via Drancy to Auschwitz where he arrived in a transport of 1,750 Jews on 4 March 1943. He did not survive.

The U.S. has two tsunami warning centers, both operated by NOAA. Employees were terminated from these centers today. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center covers Hawaiʻi, and now it is less safe to be near the beach.

She arrived at #Auschwitz on 30 September 1942 in a transport of 610 Jews deported from Westerbork. She was among the 454 people murdered in a gas chamber.
