August 18, 1920 the 19th Amendment was ratified by Tennessee. A woman’s right to vote became the law in America. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t fun to get there. Women were jailed, tortured, died. Spat upon. Cursed. Disavowed by spouses and family.

I leave for vacation and come home to Audrey II sweet potato vines. Sadly they won’t produce edible sweet potatoes. On the upside, they’re not carnivorous.
