This is using some project I found called nextfvp on GitHub to play the video. It’s just a small wrapper over ffmpeg. It requires enabling and configuring the analog framebuffer mode like you need to display scripts on a crt but yes it does work on crts too!

I’m keeping it simple to start and making it only launch things locally like NFC cards do via a text file, but I can imagine it working where the game file is actually on the SD card as well. Effectively reinventing autorun.inf so I just need to check the security implications of that first
