Shake to launch! This stupid thing ended up working way better than I expected. Finally taking advantage of some of the phone’s weird hardware too. This will be able to launch arbitrary ZapScript so you can make shake do anything, not just launch random games #Zaparoo

Probably spent way too much time on this but it was always on my todo list. Now cores and scripts (and videos) all launch pretty much seamlessly. They all handle cleanup as needed. The “video cards” feel just like running games now #Zaparoo

Some improvements for the video launching on MiSTer. Still can’t play videos that are too high res but a little less page tearing. More importantly it works a lot more like high a core seamlessly starts and stops! #Zaparoo

This will also be in the next #Zaparoo release. A new type of reader driver that can accept any mass storage device as a token. That means SD cards, USB sticks, hard drives etc. will basically work like NFC cards. This one is launching a random Genesis game each time you plug it in (RIP USB port)

My god. I absolutely love this hot sauce. I saw it a week ago in the supermarket and thought “oh I know that from America, I’ll try”. This is my second bottle. Every single thing I eat “I wonder how this tastes drenched in spicy vinegar” and the answer is always “hell yeah”

Wow! Cool #Zaparoo update! Do you have a tty2oled? Hate how it conflicts with Zaparoo? I finally got off my ass and fixed it 🤯 the next Zaparoo update will turn all stock tty2oled devices into a fully plug and play solution that works with zero conflicts with any other devices

Another preview for #Zaparoo of what was meant to be a small bug fix of the search page, turned into a large TUI update. I like how this turned out! It should look alright on a CRT on MiSTer too. It can be very challenging making a UI with such a limited resolution and palette.

Finally got to try the bugs after 5 years of visiting. Not bad! Except those tiny little bugs, they taste like an old house. The real star of the show is the eggplant mush in the background of the dragonflies. Absolutely incredible. Half garlic half eggplant. GREAT 🤤

It came to my attention recently that the TUI search and write page in #Zaparoo was totally broken. Whoops! I’ve overhauled it for next release so it *works*, is super snappy and gives lots of feedback, and lets you filter by system. It almost all works with a controller too except the text input.
