I need folks to read this short story today. I think it does a better job than a non-fiction essay harangue of highlighting the real danger of ignoring Indigenous Ppls with alm this 51st state talk and tariff warring. Especially in area with NO TREATY.

And the insistence on assuming the absolute worst when Indigenous folks are talking about how to resist is peak anti-Indigenous BS. Ugh. We aren't the ones shaping settler colonial violence, and you don't get to skip relationship building with us just because you want us to follow your lead.
Non-Indigenous folks who think they get to decide when things are a "real emergency" versus the ongoing existential crises we've been facing and surviving, aren't building community.
