A busy first day as your Mayor-elect: early morning interviews, transition announcements and meetings. More to say on all of it tomorrow.

But a highlight was lunch with my Congresswoman @aoc.bsky.social at Laliguras Bistro in Jackson Heights.

So many men acting confused that women voted for Mamdani in such large numbers.

It’s almost as if we got sick and tired with having to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Fed up with sexual abusers and serial predators being elected to office.

We said “enough” and chose change.

-Cut $1 billion from USDA programs supporting food banks
-Enacted tariffs that have caused food prices to rise
-Made the largest cut to SNAP in history
-Canceled the annual food security survey

Shameful.

This is another reminder of how crucial it is to vote up AND down the ballot.

While not receiving much attention in the media, down-ballot positions are a critical line of defense against Trump-MAGA extremism.

Remember this as we head into an important election year in 2026.
1. JD Vance dismissed Tuesday's election as “a couple of elections in blue states.”

But there were significant contests around the country, including in purple and red states.

From coast to coast, voters rejected the MAGA agenda.

Let's review.

We can’t simply return to the path we were on before Trump.

We cannot accept the status quo of Big Money dominating our politics and economy.
