I had a flat, Friday. It was a struggle in the cold dark night, changing the tire. When I was done, found my battery dead. Called AAA. I've since put my charging puck in the car, along with a head-lamp.
A new tire will arrive. I'm going down to have the oil change and brake fluid replaced.

That foam mat in the bottom right corner keep my butt warm and dry. It folds up, so I can carry it bungeed on the outside of my pack.

I use two kinds of windscreens for my alcohol stove. First wraps around the stove and a pot lifter. It breaks down into three stainless steel sheets. The second is a perforated sheet that forms a cylinder. It fits closely around the stove and lifts the pot by itself. Haven't decide which is better.

I bought a can of Vienna sausage today. They are a guilty pleasure. I thought, can I make a sensible pig-in-a-blanket? I tried wrapping them in a strips of high-fiber tortilla, pegged it with a toothpick, and putting them in a hot oven. They were pretty good.

I completely forgot Ocean State Job Lot was 10 minutes away. For, like, a year. Tonight I dropped by. Picked up a base layer set. Sweat shirt. Pants too, but those are, like, two sizes to small for me.
Bought some hammock straps, too, because you can't have too many.

Wife is throwing out two shirts, so I tried them on. I'm surprised they fit. First is a wife-beater that make me look like an extra on Law and Order. The second give me an air of a dancer wearing a shirt from 40 years ago, when he was in shape. Both are distressingly form fitting.
