Q: You said you're interested in good faith negotiations, but is it helpful to post pictures of Leader Jeffries in a sombrero if you're trying to have good faith talks?

JD VANCE: Oh! I think it's funny! The president is joking and we're having a good time.

Just yesterday Trump promised to spend a record $1 trillion on the military — roughly half of which will go to private defense contractors that price-gouge the government.

Remember this when Trump or Republicans talk about "sacrifices" that need to be made during a shutdown.

Truck drivers, bus drivers, factory workers, restaurant workers. The solution to not being able to find enough employees is a Churchillian conundrum. A riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. Yes, that may mean your business is non-viable, but hey, that's glorious capitalism. No? Oh, well...

If you find yourself doing this it’s because you aren’t actually paying your employees competitive salaries.
Not housing, but along a similar vein, one time a VP at the company where I worked complained in a town hall meeting in front of everyone about losing employees because our competitors were willing to pay “well above market rate.” I don’t know what people think that term means.
