but yeah there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, however it's become pretty clear that if destroying music as an art form would make spotify's stock price go higher they absolutely would make that move and i don't really want to be part of it

i joined the spotify boycott in solidarity but honestly it was just the push i needed to leave it, bc spotify was driving me nuts. it's just become such an enshittified app full of ads & undisclosed payola pushing you to listen to specific artists and it just brought me no joy anymore lol

netflix could very well end be the nail in the coffin of theatrical distribution and thus the end of movies if they buy WB if they continue their current strategy of theatrical releases (nothing says they won't) also it'd be the end of HBO
