I, for one, cannot understand why men like Rupert Lowe are opposed to banning X, despite it assisting sex offenders, paying people to invite the foreign powers to invade the U.K, and allowing state-sponsored cyber warfare against our democracy.

It's a real mystery...🤔

So, my article posted today about Londoners not needing Leila Cunningham’s pity is doing immensely well - surprisingly so!

Thanks to everyone for all the amazing comments, emails, coffees and just in general really positive reception.

You all make doing this whole writing malarkey so worth it.

The story of Europe’s economic decline while US is 'soaring' is everywhere.

But it is wrong. It is a myth.

Europe delivers more leisure, longer life expectancy, less inequality than the US.

Gabriel Zucman dismantles the myths.
Decline, what decline? The myth of dying Europe
There is a widespread view that, by comparison with the USA, Europe is in economic and social decline. But, Zucman argues, it's not true

Joining the EU has been a magic ticket to prosperity for former Russian satellite states. Bulgaria is now going vertical.

This will happen for Ukraine, and it's Putin's nightmare. Ukraine’s resources, size, brainpower and location assure it will make even Poland's success small on comparison.

Very disappointed in the Fabians. They're using a populist straw man argument here. Greens haven't said an extra 2% on super-wealth will solve everything. But it would help to readjust a system that's obviously out of balance. Greens also want to end Brexit and recognise the benefits of immigration.

The argument the current Fabian Society leadership presents against a super-wealth tax is far below their traditional intellectual standard. To dismiss the super-rich as a "tiny elite" is a 1990s argument. That tiny elite is now wealthier than 50% of the population – and getting richer every day!
