There was little appetite from police & CPS to enforce the new law & only a few private prosecutions happened over the next 7 years.

It’s important to keep the pressure on this new government to at least try to be slightly more progressive than the last.

When his brother would go hunting in the E Midlands, the hunts would release a “bagged” fox for “easy sport”. Most of the family still support fox hunting -a criminal activity- so are definitely all wrong uns.

Towards the end of the day hounds were set on this fine young spring stag, which they thankfully wouldn't have a hope in hell of catching, but just enjoyed terrorising him I guess. Great working with @mendiphuntsabs.bsky.social, @wlguardian.bsky.social
