Today is exactly 20 years since the Hunting Act came into force. Many of us were hugely optimistic and had bought fancy new miniDV cameras to enforce the new law. Despite this, we had to wait until 2012 for the first public prosecution of members of a registered hunt!

The Hunting Act 2004 prohbits the hunting of wild mammals with dogs except when exemption applies. Hunting Act 2004 came into force in 2005.

When we had a journo with us a few years ago, he wanted to interview a few local residents for their view on the #Warwickshire Hunt so approached them in their gardens. Hunt stewards charged onto properties after him which didn’t make them any friends! Arrogant lunatics!

Partridge are small shy birds who are often simply dumped out into an unfamiliar environment the day before the shoot. I’d question the mental state of anyone who considers this “a challenge” or “sport”.
