i don't really feel like debating the granular taxonomy of what is and isn't vibe coding (or "publishable") here; it's still vapid and grotesque practice from any angle

if you wanted to atrophy and devalue your own skills this way i can't stop you but i also wouldn't think it's a good idea

'prototypes' are not the sole domain of user interface design. this is a general idea that is broadly applicable

great!

i'm familiar with this concept. however, the post at the top is talking about vibe coding. i would say the thing you said is a different topic perhaps?

there are plenty of occasions to prototype software both with and without graphical, terminal, or any ui at all. i don't quite see how this refutes the op

if your argument was 'you just separate the concerns' then you may have missed the point i read, since vibe coding explicitly eschews thinking
November 12, 2025 at 6:11 PM
that should make an even stronger argument for putting actual thought and decisionmaking into a prototype, then, should it not?
November 12, 2025 at 6:04 PM
certainly i can say that's not how i read the top post at first or upon careful review. this speaks to me about underlying architecture and data model concerns
November 12, 2025 at 5:23 PM
you're the only person here talking about user interfaces

they should eat this guy

no, it informs the structure of the final design. whereas if you weren't involved and don't know what the prototype looks like and didn't make any decisions in its production, you learned nothing relevant here

SCOOP: Schumer was more involved than reported with the attempted cave on the government shutdown. The Gang of 8 Senate Dems had his approval & he was getting daily updates.
In Thursday's caucus meeting, the Gang claimed they had 10 votes to cave. The caucus went nuts, leading to the new proposal.
Why Does Schumer Keep Trying to Cave? - The American Prospect
Most commentators, including me, concluded that the Tuesday election victory saved Democrats from capitulating to Republican demands to pass a simple continuing resolution to re-open the government, i...
