Interesting how @linkedin.com think users come to its platform, as revealed in this interception user survey I took today. Clearly I’m a naive flower to think LI is meant for sharing and learning.
Also « feel connected with my network » feels… wrong - or is it just me?

Looking at buying #LinkedIn's eyewateringly expensive Premium, and got stumped by the call to action. It says "Reactivate now". Hang on now - this is a commitment. But what am I committing to? After checking with support, that CTA *starts* the renewal, it's just awfully worded. Don't be LinkedIn #UX

Feeling like a winner. A basic winner, that is.

This is a great example of why you don't EVER call any bottom rung on a Loyalty program "basic" or "entry", and instead scratch your head a little longer so it feels like something exclusive and worthwhile. #CX #CustomerExperience #LoyaltyPrograms

Scott lays out a few DQ techniques, starting with database refactoring, useful to evolve production data sources. The context of each team and product will drive choices, DataOps going towards automation but it will need to focus on fixing the source, everything else is extra effort. This wraps it!

Potential Data Quality issues faced by #ML teams:
Biased data
Insufficient data
Semantic differences across sources
Missing data values
Inconsistent data values
Unclear/unknown sources of record
Ownership limitations
Privacy/security
Data poisoning
Data drift
and many more

Data quality is a leading challenge in #AI, and there's confusion between how much it should be prioritised while there's general agreement that privacy is a major concern. That's only the beginning of issues with data. Data quality issues are many

Scott lays the steps of getting to having a working model includes a complex Envision step, and an equally complex Construction step. He insists deployment is also far from easy. Scott insists AIs are products, not projects, running one as a project adds costs and risks. A model needs updating!

Scott's already announcing that the big focus in corporations will be on Machine Learning and not LLM. Data Quality is currently the top showstopper for organisations doing AI, and needs to be addressed at source, and never at point of usage. He continues with an ML overview, detailing the steps.

The audience shares anecdotes about their culture and identity. We are now going to look at a framework (based the book The Culture Map) for understanding culture.

Alberta presents different times; multi-active or polychronic, cyclic time, etc.. Asians use a cyclic time a lot for “appropriate things at the right time”. Chronemics categorise time. Your culture drives how you use time, because time is the “heartbeat of culture”.

Train your #resilience:
1. Pause
2. Step back
3. Reflect
4. Shift perspectives
5. Create options
6. Choose wisely

Relaxing is an option, reminds wisely Kathy Berkidge! #AgileIndia2025

You’d think India would at least put some decent IT engineers onto their visa portal, sadly it’s a very 2006 affair and to top it all, the feedback form also puts up a fight. The Likert scale is a joke and the invalid characters were, I kid you not, punctuation.

#motorcycle So here I am at about 15hrs of riding a proper bike. I had a vespa for a couple of months in town a few years ago but it doesn't compare. This is not my best, I can do better, but it's an honest display of my struggles, especially turning sharply left.
