(Though this is outdated, as he was arrested over 2 years ago and -- more importantly -- convicted)

In 2019, motor vehicle crashes cost America $340 billion. Approx 26% of these accidents were caused by speeding (a historic low), which amounts to about $88 billion.
Would conservatives be as interested in being as hard on speeding as on illegal immigration? Both are civil infractions.

Just a thought - maybe we should be writing our (Republican) reps about this one:
“We got everything done,” he added, “I said, ‘Put it all into one bill and if we get it done, we’re done for four years.’ We don’t need anything more from Congress.”

AFAIK, even though Republicans control all branches of government, a normal bill requires 60 votes in the Senate.
However, Republicans can use (and have used) the reconciliation process to pass with a simple majority.
Why aren't they doing that?

I think this is a really good point. It is why gangs form, though I'm sure there are significant differences (like not having a stable family to begin with). If they can't belong to MAGA, where can they belong?
I'm not aware of any mass exodus from the GOP, and this might be a factor.
