Yes I fully agree. I'm fascinated & totally appreciate the skill. Have you seen Paul Binski's tv series Divine Designs? I discovered it recently ch 5. Excellent interpretation evolution of church architecture. Fascinated by pre Reformation church interior wall paintings. So much lost in 1530s.

Whilst I find all churches and cathedrals interesting from a historical perspective I also look at them with much distaste in the context of money spent at the expense of the poor majority & their demonstration of extreme power and propoganda. I'm not religious. No offense to religious people.
