As I begin 10 days of vacation I’m reminded of this great truth from Herman Melville.
‘Whoever is not in the possession of leisure can hardly be said to possess independence. They talk of the dignity of work. Bosh…..99 hundreths of all the work done in the world is either foolish..harmful..wicked.’

I understand Texas and especially around San Antonio is in the path they go to Mexico

@lukeepplin.bsky.social I wonder how many times Schulz used the one panel pier scene? To me it’s one of the most moving of his aspects as it brings into focus the simplicity of a boy and his dog.

Was reading a fascinating article in National Geographic by a photographer whose father was a Soviet Azerbaijani lepidopterist and she was trying to find the rare butterfly that was named for him in the mountains of Armenia and Azerbaijan; if that’s not Quixotic nothing is!
