I don't allow terminate-and-stay-resident programs on my computer. In the old days they ate valuable RAM and clock cycles. Nowadays this makes zero sense. But I'd rather my computer be entirely untaxed, than constantly do something non-essential that uses 0.001% of its resources.

What is this Round Robin of endless podcasts? Nothing whispers 'I don't have enough paid work,' than bored, moderately famous people talking to each about fuck all. It's the celeb version of starting a window cleaning round.

1/3 The untold story behind National Service. From 1949 - 1963, two million British men did military service mainly to retain control over British colonies, because “Indian independence in 1947 meant that Britain no longer had the huge Indian Army at its disposal”.

What was National Service?
National Service, a standardised form of peacetime conscription, came into force in 1949 for all able-bodied men between the ages of 17 and 21.

Complaining about it being hot in the UK is like complaining about Glastonbury being on television too much. I believe you sincerely hate it and think you're oppressed by it, but dude, it's a handful of hours on three or four days a years, and some years not at all.

Pubs are a force for good. They reinforce communities and encourage people to drink together, rather than alone in a bedsit. It follows that beer sold in pubs should be zero-rated. This would make it more affordable and stop pubs from closing.
