YEP. This ICE policy, seemingly done alongside DOGE, caused panic at universities everywhere, led to dozens of lawsuits (that ICE lost), did enormous damage to US higher ed's international reputation, caused huge amounts of work to be done to stop it ... and is now being walked back. Efficiency!
I'm curious to know how much money DOGE saved us through this process...

Maybe Senator Van Hollen should be President, since Trump says he's not really involved with the situation, doesn't really know what's going on, and can't do anything. Who needs such a flaccid executive?

I'm not going to stop saying this. We need to stop calling it "deporting." It may not always be fair or humane, but deportation has a process. And it means you're sent back to where you came from. These people are being trafficked and sold to slave prisons. Not deported.
