I watched Kimmel’s monologue and thought it was great. And because Disney did the right thing and he said some good things, I feel optimistic for the first time in 9 months. I have no idea why I feel like things might change for the better, or rather, that all is not lost yet.

We went miniature golfing over the weekend. My five year old who held his club backwards half the time beat me and his dad and in fact ended up with one less than par. And a hole in one. Fair and square. What is the lesson? Stop trying so hard? Do things backwards? Be five again? Good goals.

If you really want to drive the point home about how fucked up ICE is then people should start forcing Star Wars themes on ICE. Protesters should start playing the imperial march whenever ICE shows up and should also start dressing like the rebel alliance.

started watching OG Star Wars with my son, happily pausing o er and over to explain the story. When he asked why the Empire wanted to hurt people, I remembered that I have never known. I said its because they’re mean and greedy and don’t care about others and realized that I was talking about MAGA.

I have a 5 year old who rarely tries to hide anything from me. When he does, it’s just like gabbard and waltz et al. Everybody on earth knows what “I can’t remember” means or when you evade or change the subject. Not answering is admitting guilt, even little humans know it instinctually! Be adults!
