Ran during the hottest part of the day but it couldn’t be helped! It’s all good. Some beautiful skies today

A few more things to-do and then I’m about ready to konk out myself.

Have a good evening all 👋

Waaarm 😅

Happy to have got round for a jog, walked loads of this and I don’t mind for a second, as slow as I thought I needed to go, there was always slower!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday 👋

The choice of bundling a BASIC programming manual in the box unintentionally kickstarted the UK tech industry, let curious kids like me figure out how to start writing computer software

My daughter asked me earlier - what was a classic music track I remember when I was growing up. So hard to choose just one, but I settled on It’s Alright (Baby’s Coming Back). Superlative stuff from Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart

Just look at that iconic album cover. Takes me right back to the 1980s

My reading at present

I know my current running style is not optimal, lots of room for improvement

The thing is when I’ve had time for a run, I’ve just wanted to get out there. Clearing my head mentally has been the thing. -

I would trust Dennis Nedry over DOGE to audit government departments any day of the week

Had a computer game session with my 4-year old, amazing to see his hand-eye co-ordination and reasoning skills improve over time

We were playing “Moving Out 2”, a great game with a multiplayer mode that rewards teamwork

So 🦋 is the good place!

Threads turning out to be the Bad Place was a real plot twist 😬

Yeah yeah, should'a seen it coming, yada yada. Easy to say retrospectively. At a certain point I just wanted to lay down my hat, find a friendly social media home

I thought Threads was it. Bummed it was not

If Bluesky really want to win over the Threads userbase, they just have to do one thing:

Increase the per-post character limit to 500 characters.

That’s it

I feel anxious for 2025

U.S living on the Biff Tannen timeline

Rise of the far-right everywhere

Dictatorships getting away with it

Land invasions and conquests, ongoing and threatened

Economies being crashed by the few that can make money from disruption, to buy stuff up on the cheap

I saw this FB post saying to not cancel family holidays because of politics

But - look at the post before from this author about a Tr*mp branded gun, or any prior political post, it is so plainly obvious no rational relative would have anything to do with this person
