Today reminds me of the time I was at Clemson the day of the Emanuel Nine martyrdom down in Charleston.
I walked up to an older black gentleman who was watching a speech by MLK Jr. on youtube. I asked him why.
He said, "I want to remember to respond with love, not hate."
Never forgotten that.

- Civil rights movement 1960s
- VN war, late 60s + early 70s
- Iraq war, 2002
- Econ/environ injustice, passim.
- Now, Trump autocracy, most recently Iran war.
Stand up. If people pretend they were "always" w you, sign you've won.

Depending on your church tradition, this hymn might more of a deep cut than others on the album. But those who know, KNOW this was an absolute BOP to harmonize on. I wanted to produce it with a "40s post war radio" approach. Pre-save it now to be sure not to miss it when it drops.
