Quoting this just to put this so I can pin it because this is the reaction I'm always hoping for when I get to give an A+ review. I love hearing that I totally caught all the themes.
I was quite online this year on Bluesky, with a total of 282 active days. My longest break was 8 days. My most active month was March.

Violent Night is a perfect film. Every twist is set up perfectly. Every element executed perfectly.

Can we bring Net Neutrality back?

I’m trying to make a video to upload to YouTube and YouTube is running fine but League of Comic Geeks, the site where I get the covers I use for Backgrounds and also the list of people to credit in my videos, is running like a potato

How many millions of dollars did the Turkeys donate to Trump for their pardon?

Watching Frankenstein again

Elizabeth holds the creature’s hand to her throat to teach him how to say her name and knows he won’t hurt her! 😭😭😭😭

It only just now occurred to me that Corbeau is a reference to Way of the Househusband

Me: Oh this Die:Loaded No. 1 that I bought is a sequel series. It’ll probably need the context of the original series to understand it but I’ll review it on its merits and will probably just leave it at that.

Me: Goddammit I have to read all of it!

Part 1 of GDT’s Frankenstein ends at almost exactly the half way point.

Part 2 allows the Creature to tell his own story to the Captain which I love and allows for Part 3 to be smaller and more climactic

Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein deviates heavily from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein but it is still so accurate to the novel because it remains in conversation with the novel.

Spoilers

Victor framing the creature when in the book the Creature framed Victor’s friend is genius. It feels like a bonus for those who read the book

Oh god the melancholy as the Creature watches the leaves flow out of the cistern and out of the building to a freedom he can’t have

I dislike that part of Victor’s machine messes up. I think it’s better if the experiment goes exactly as planned and still makes an abomination

Damn siphylus was fucking terrifying.

Also yeah dude don’t be surprised that Victor can’t save your life with this new body thing dude. He can’t just put your brain in the new Adam. Even I know that Siphylus eats parts of your brain.

This giant tower with a curved hole in the center is perfect for my experiments no need to put a guard rail I want the people who come to kill me for my crimes against god to fall in

I am unsurprised but disappointed that Netflix Frankenstein has removed Elizabeth’s relation to Victor as his adopted Cousin/Sister but also glad that they made his relationship with his mother even more fucking weird

My big question for @gastronauts.bsky.social is why do the chefs only plate two dishes one for foot photography and one for the judges to share?
