I found new article about CBD supplements and how popular they've become for anxiety, sleep and pain relief. I learned that while some people report benefits, the research is still limited, the FDA doesn't regulate these products for safety.@beh353#beh353

So true. Also the fiber in fruits slows absorption in the small intestines, so the sugar hits the bloodstream gradually. That’s very different from added sugars which are absorbed much faster. @beh353
"Omg fruit is full of sugar and so bad for you!" Have you considered that it's also full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber? And a fun fact is that our bodies need these nutrients so no, it's not the same as eating something like ice cream. Not that anything is wrong with ice cream.

I think my recalling was accurate because I pretty much have the same thing or a variation of the same thing everyday so it wasn’t hard to remember . Now thinking about I just realized how much I eat ice cream at night which was very surprising for me. @beh353

This week I recall having a Oikas yogurt with bananas, granola with honey for breakfast. While for lunch I remember having left over chicken with some Haitian rice. For dinner I had some rice and chicken agai. Before I went to bed I had some ice cream. @beh353 #beh353

Fun fact:carbohydrates is the body preferred source of energy especially for the brain. Your brain relies heavily on glucose (which comes from carbs) to function properly Without its harder to concentrate and think clearly.@beh353

this really resonates with me.Viewing food as fuel and joy aligns with more a holistic approach to health and metabolism, especially when considering long-term behavior change and sustainability. @beh353 #beh353
Food = fuel AND joy (+ culture, experience, love, etc.). You’re allowed to eat without guilt. No burpees required.

I'm a premed major 2027. I am taking this course to gain a deeper understanding of how nutrition impact overall health. I am really curious about the role of dietary sugar and how it truly affects the body over time. My favorite food is Haitian legume(vegetable stew)@beh353 #beh353
