In advance of Naomi Osaka's quarterfinal match, an amazing stat I haven't seen elsewhere: going into this U.S. Open, she's 52-25 in the first 4 rounds of Grand Slams, and an astonishing 12-0 in quarterfinals and beyond. She won all four Grand Slams in which she advanced past the fourth round!

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.
