And there's a whole article you can read after the headline, too! Here it is.

Sharing links to writing you appreciate really does make a huge difference even for publications of our size.
Microsoft's head of AI doesn't understand why people don't like AI, and I don't understand why he doesn't understand because it's pretty obvious
Is it really "mindblowing" that people are skeptical of software that consistently doesn't do the things we're told it can do?

The ideological commitment to punishing welfare recipients is a true sickness

Here, the Department endorses the use of payment suspensions to get victims of domestic violence to disclose their circumstances

There is a word for using punishment to extract information out of people: torture

This report is a masterclass of maladministration, contempt for the law, ideological malice - and plain stupidity

The Department unshakably believes there are frauds in their system, but can't provide any actual evidence because they [checks notes] don't interact enough with people in the system

5/ Please do not suggest that there is any sense in which Summers contributions are unique or essential, that is simply nonsense. It is not how social science works, with exceptions too rare to disprove a general rule.

do you view this group as dangerous extremists? We need to judge it on the behaviour of the group says Lanyon. We have to take it on a case by case basis he says. He says it was “peaceful”.

What a coinkidink that police doing nothing results in no “clashes” with nazis at a nazi rally.

the ABC is now headlining Rivchyn upping support for more police powers to stop nazi rallies that police choose not to stop. They keep calling the nazi rally a protest, a lie. Police exercising discretionary powers to not criminalise whites is routine policing practice, yet media can not report it.

if everyone committing acts punishable by five years imprisonment were seen as having mere lapses of judgement, we could defund the police.

Premier knows he's taking a risk with new police commissioner
For newly-announced Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon, Wednesday morning would have been both one of his proudest moments, and his most uncomfortable.

A threat to arbitrarily revoke support is a threat to starve the most vulnerable. She is infinitely more violent than those she demeans.

This announcement leaves so many unanswered questions:
- Why is Brereton still a Major-General in the ADF?
- What happens to all the defence referrals he has been working on, and making decisions on, until now?
- Why is he paid over $800k a year not to work on defence referrals?

The Eureka Stockade didn't take place in Melbourne and was put down by armed forces dispatched from Melbourne. Same with the Kelly Gang. Melbourne, dishing it out and not coping with being on the receiving end
