Dedicated to delivering cycling infrastructure linking Derry to Inishowen.
The human responsible for this death was on the wrong side of the road and driving above the speed limit. I suppose the human on the bike was in camouflage and couldn't be seen. The judge was Martin Nolan.

This is the new section of road on the N72 through Fossa, #Kerry. Now that @countykerry and @TFIupdates have provided this nice, new shared path for humans who cycle and walk, it is also doubling up as a parking zone. Why don't we ask @GardaTraffic why this is allowed to happen?

This is a section of the new Adare bypass in County Limerick. Farm land CPO'ed plus running adjacent to private residences. No hassle with this from rural Ireland. But a greenway?

Pitching #greenways as 'recreational' was a huge mistake by our civil servants. They are transport corridors that could have, depending on their location, recreational opportunities. If CPOs are required to develop the best & safest routes, so be it. Society has to change.

Ireland, take note.
Emergency vehicles using bike lanes has become a common sight in Paris (see video). Moreover, recently, response times have become significantly shorter, which may be linked to this practice (although it's hard to prove it scientifically)

We made our submission on the potential route corridors for this greenway, linking #Lifford to #Derry and thus Inishowen. The options are a funny mix, and we didn't support any of them. Why not go via Porthall without the R265 being involved (mix of B & E). carrigansliffordgreenway.ie

Vision for interconnected park along River Liffey across four counties takes a step forward
Interlinking the parks along the River Liffey across counties Wicklow, Kildare and Dublin, with a vision for connectons for walking, cycling, and greenery along the river, is taking a step forard as Kildare County Council is seeking input on their first section of the wider project. The council are asking members of the public for their input via an online survey "exploring the potential for the provision of a Liffey Valley Park between Leixlip and Celbridge" which would stretch to over 6.35km between St Catherine’s Park, Leixlip to Celbridge Bridge.

It's time once again for my annual #treebybike post. This is the December 19, 1942 cover of The New Yorker, so one full year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This would be the first real Christmas alone, or without a family member, for millions. Gas and tire rationing had begun that year. #bikesky

Remember, you can still make a submission to support the preferred route corridor for the Buncrana-Carndonagh section of our #Inishowengreenway: buncranacarndonaghgreenway.ie/public-consu....

The Muff to Three Trees section of our Inishowen Greenway is looking good. Perhaps a little close to the main road, but it's well protected. If you're in the area, check it out.
