I was completely unprepared for how triggering and emotionally overwhelming it would be to try to find the cause of some mystery symptoms I’ve been having.
It’s sent me right back to when I was searching for my original gastrointestinal diagnoses pretty much exactly 5 years ago.

I first heard Helga’s story in The Girls of Room 28 by Hannelore Brenner. It completely turned on end everything I thought I knew about the Holocaust.
If you have the opportunity to read or hear Helga’s story, I would strongly encourage you to.

I could weep with relief.
This isn’t the end of the crisis. So many people live with food insecurity, even with their benefits. Keep the support coming.
