God the reporters that the White House allows into the room these days are all insufferable sycophants.

Trump is literally declaring a civil war via social media.

I expect 0 congressional Republicans to say anything, Democratic leadership to write a strongly worded letter, and news media to tell us that we shouldn't use the "fascist" word.

Trump is going to start a war with Venezuela so he can use the Alien Enemies Act to circumvent all that due process stuff the courts have repeatedly said people are entitled to.

I realize it's unlikely because they've probably done the math, but it would be such delicious karma if the Texas GOP's attempt at redistricting spreads their margins so thin that Trump's shitty job performance is enough to tip the balance so that instead of picking up 5 seats, they lose 5 seats.

Trump just said everyone should read the Declaration of Independence... Presumably so we can see that he took the founders' list of grievances against the crown as a personal todo list.

Is it too late for them to revoke Elon's status?

Oh, what's that you say? They're not actually targeting antisemitism, they're only targeting people who speak out against Palestinian genocide?

Effective immediately, the government says it will begin screening immigrant social media for activity that officials think indicates support for antisemitism.

The entire Republican Party is complicit in Trump's tariffs. They could vote to undo them, but they won't.

Pass it on.

Cory Booker has done an extraordinary thing in these times that call for extraordinary measures from our elected officials. He has broken the record for the longest speech on the Senate floor speaking out against the unlawful, unamerican, and evil actions of the Trump administration.

This is what we need from Senate leadership in this moment.
I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:

"Musk's claim ("the left is supposed to be the party of empathy") perfectly distills the asymmetry in our politics. The left is “supposed to be” empathetic, so that’s the standard it must live up to. The right isn't, so when its leader incites a riot, that’s fine since it meets our expectations."

Trump admin lawyers are saying the Alien Enemies Act allows federal agents to enter homes without a warrant.

I'd hope that this would never hold up in court, but the fact that they're even suggesting it is disturbing.

Administration Officials Believe Order Lets Immigration Agents Enter Homes Without Warrants
It remains unclear whether the Trump administration will apply the law in this way. But such an interpretation, experts say, would infringe on basic civil liberties.

I’m totally fine with deporting gang members who commit crimes who don’t have legal status.

I just don’t want Tom Homan or an ICE agent grabbing anyone off the street and flying them to a prison in El Salvador while claiming they are all of those things with zero due process.

Boycott Tesla!

Teslas are poorly built fascist trash and there are a lot of great options at every price point made by companies that aren't owned by Elon Musk.

I had a Bolt EV for 3 years (great car at a great price). When my lease ended, I got a Polestar 2 (nicer car, more $$).

This is some Orwellian shit right here.

The US Attorney for the District of Columbia is supposed to uphold the law, which includes the first amendment.

Revoking press credentials from the AP over their decision to continue to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as such is fundamentally un-American.
This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this.

The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".
