Hey corporate media,

Thou shalt not spend thousands of hours on one CEO’s shooting and only one hour on a classroom of children.

Imagine a movie that starts with unidentified drones appearing by the hundreds in US skies. The writers try to float a plot where officials say nothing substantive & everyone just goes about their business, meanwhile sightings continue.

That plot line would never float in a writers room. Never.

Mysterious possible drone sightings across the East Coast have prompted calls to shoot down the unidentified aircraft. But shooting at drones is dangerous, illegal and may bring unintended consequences.
Some residents want to shoot down reported drones. Here’s why that would create more problems | CNN

Apparently the community service team and the investigative team at the F B I haven't held a huddle in some time
LOL. I’m not falling for that FBI.

Just kidding. I understand what they’re saying. We shouldn’t have to choose between safe data and safe communities but we need responsibly managed encryption, something we currently do not have.

We're supposed to believe that a "clever mastermind" pulled off what he did last week, ditched everything in Central Park, except the weapon. Got away. Only to cap it off with a sit down meal on a Monday at McDonald's with the smoking, shall we say, evidence on him?

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do;
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too.
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace.
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one.

Nothing is perfect, but literally every western-aligned country has more "real news" focused outlets than the US. Every single one.

There are many potential agency cuts that will drastically change what we call "life." One to watch is #OSHA. Workplace safety is underrated in importance both to workers, and for society at large.

Reminder that poor safety, in part, led to the largest marine oil spill in history. #BP #nature

The only thing that's certain is that Uncertainty will be the word of the year for 2025.
But in the short and medium term, there is going to be a lot more uncertainty over what lines the courts will take. And that could have a big impact on policy and regulation, in energy and in many other areas. How will it play out? We will find out! (12/12)

Mixed feelings about this. For those of us who can afford to live tech-selectively, it's not a big deal. But tech should be accessible to all, not just those making enough to buy expensive tech. For many workers/retirees, wireless Apple options are not in the budget
