Join us for a hands-on workshop on web archiving with Browsertrix, Webrecorder's most comprehensive high-fidelity web archiving tool. Since 2014, Webrecorder has built quality open-source tools that enable 'web archiving for all,' allowing anyone with a browser to create web archives and accurately replay them later. No matter your web archiving experience, this workshop will teach you how to use Browsertrix to create, curate, and share archives of the online content that matters most to you and your community!Members from the Browsertrix team will be on-site to introduce: - Crawling websites with Browsertrix- Configuring browser profiles to crawl social media and other web content hidden behind log-ins- Using Browsertrix's quality assurance features to assess the quality of their crawls- Curating archived items into collections to share with their communitiesAttendees will be invited to join for a post-workshop happy hour in the Union Square area for an open conversation about web archives.RSVP is required, as space is limited.
